Bullying and emotional and mental health

Bullying can have a serious detrimental effect to the emotional and mental health of children and young people. It can lead to feeling sad, lonely, scared, and anxious. It can also effect a person's ability to concentrate or focus. The effects of bullying can also sometimes lead to self-harm, depression, suicidal thoughts and in some cases suicide. There is also evidence that being bullied regularly as a child can effect a persons emotional and mental health into adulthood.
