Public Health Nurses (0-19 yrs)

Public Health Nurses are qualified nurses who have completed specialist training in public health for children, young people and families. They usually specialise in either health visiting or school nursing. The School Nursing Service works with school-aged children, their parents/carers, other health professionals, education staff and other agencies to promote the health and well-being of children and enable them to reach their full potential. The School Nursing team is made up of specialist public health nurses, community staff nurses, and assistant practitioners.
